DESIGN: Masonic Homes of Kentucky asked us to renovate a wing of their skilled nursing building, Sally’s Garden, into a Memory Care Household.  We worked with the original 1988 skilled nursing design and incorporated new residential household elements. The new design gives the residents a comfortable environment more in line with the homes they had recently left.  Some key elements are a residential kitchen, to allow the freedom to eat on your own schedule. Separate living rooms with fireplaces and bookcases. Dens have comfortable couch, arm chairs and televisions.
