SERVICES:  Architecture

DESIGN:  Situated in a historic Bardstown Road Overlay District, the addition of a new street-front facade and expansion to a 3-lane drive-thru teller banking arrangement provide necessary functional upgrades for the client while preserving the rhythm of this distinctive historic corridor.  The public facade presents a prominent, visual presence at the street. An open “storefront” acts as a landscaped screen to the drive-thru functions while contributing to the unique pedestrian experience of this eclectic street with its inviting seating area.  Together, these two concepts expand upon the building’s original architectural vocabulary and enhance its site characteristics.
